Dale enjoys in-door plants. The first two pictures and fourth picture show plants in his home office and the third shows plants in their living-room.

Dale inherited his son, PEY's, fish tank when PEY left for college at Texas Tech. He has learned a lot about fish and has also learned how to grow fish tank plants.

Dale maintains a birdfeeder and squirrel feeder just outside his home office window. A parrot started showing up now and again and Dale learned that it would probably not live through the winter. So, Dale has been trying to catch it. He borrowed a bird cage from Fish and Chirps and is hoping it will get inside to eat the parrot food. Here the parrot is standing on the cage and reaching over to one of the bird feeders.

Dale's recumbent bike he bought in the spring, 2002. He rides it to work (5 miles one way) about twice a week. |

Dale's home office is set up so that Dale can enjoy watching birds on the birdfeeder and squirrels on the squirrel feeder when working at the computer. In this picture a hawk has the same idea and is waiting for some unsuspecting bird to come by. The trees in the background are among 12 live Christmas trees that have been planted since moving here in 1989. |

Dale danced with the Old Dominion University Ballet Company for 5 years while completing his BA and his MA in Urban Studies. It was great fun. I had the chance to dance the Caviler in the Nutcracker Suite |

Ballet was great exercise and a fun way to get to know girls. Istvan Ament was our instructor. He defected from Romania. He has since returned. |
