P-E-Y's science project tested the effects of subliminal messages.  It won second place at Liberty for Scientific Reasoning.

Winning second place allowed P-E-Y to enter his project in the regional competition where he won third place in the Behavioral and Social Science Division.

 

 P-E-Y taped "pick red" over and over and then played the tape while he taped some classical music.  He did this once on fast mode and again regular speed.  He then handed out green and red candies to classmates while the music played and watched to see which color students picked.

 

P-E-Y was able to submit his project at the State competition because of his third place finish at the regional level.
